WEEK 59

HOME

GEOMETRIC STEEL LANTERN LIGHT // It’s giving Visual Comfort with Target prices.

SWEDISH GUSTAVIAN OPEN ARM CHAIR // This is serving as inspiration for a chair I bought nearly ten years ago and still haven’t finished refinishing. For inquiring minds, the chair had great bones, but was lacquered in lilac and upholstered in pink velvet. I don’t know if anyone has ever tried to strip lacquer on their own while preserving the details of a hand carved piece, but it is not for the faint of heart. The last time I was working on the chair I quite literally started drinking again. Definitely not the chair's fault, but does make for a funny story at antique malls. Just kidding.

LARGE PAPER STARS // Planning to recreate Kristin Ellen Hockman’s magical holiday dining room set-up with these.

TABLE

SCALLOP NAPKINS // For a coastal table. I think these can work for Christmas and summer tablescapes alike.

HEIRLOOM SILVER CHAMPAGNE BUCKET // A great entertaining piece, as it anchors a bar or drink set-up. No Champagne required.

SABRE BOTTLE OPENERS // Pair with your host’s favorite beer or pop-top beverage for a casual hostess gift.

ROYAL COPENHAGEN PLATER // You can find patterns like this thrifting. And when you do, scoop them.

APOTHECARY

SANTA MARIA NOVELLA DIFFUSER // A really beautiful home diffuser. Makes for an equally beautiful hostess gift.

CLOSET

KIAH SKIRT // Something sparkly for the holiday season ahead.

THE WORKWEAR DENIM SHIRT JACKET // An off-duty jacket that suggests you work hard when on-duty.

SATIN CAR COAT // A light layer that packs quite the [style] punch.

ALEX EAGLE x J.CREW BUTTON UP // Can’t say no to a stripe or a collab.

THE SILK STRIPE CROP PANTS // Featuring a racing stripe that’ll make you look extra fast. Car jokes aside, however, with a loose waistband, these are kind of perfect for Thanksgiving meals.

WOOL BLEND COAT // Take this with a grain of salt because I live in a warm weather climate, but I’m really impressed by Zara’s coats. They’re beautiful, feel really high quality for the price, and long-lasting.

ACCESSORIES

MAXWELL EARRINGS // Something sparkly that won’t break the bank.

SAVETTE POCHETTE // I’m finally hopping on the Savette train — especially in this sumptuous, versatile navy.

CASHMERE-LINED GLOVES // For a trip to cooler (read: cold) climes.

DENIM OPAL & FRESHWATER COIN PEARL NECKLACE // A versatile pop of fun to any outfit.
